i melted some plastic bags, a bin bag and some netting to see how they would react to heat .
then i looked at reverse aplekay and the changing of the colours looked like a volcano when the lava changes to rock .also i used exspandex and the texture of this looked like the volcano lava.
i used shearing elastic and embroided it on dome fabric and when the elastic sprung back it looked like the smoke that comes off volcanoes
this technique is when i use buttons and trapped them under fabric this looked like the ground after a drought.
then i looked at quilting trapping wading between fabric.
then i tried different way of stitching then quilting i then one i liked the most was the free hand embroidery one.
Final Fabric
my final fabric technique is free hand embroidery quilting with a patten printed on as a guide line of where to stitch.
